IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION OF CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASE ON CAMPUS and IMMEDIATE CLOSURE OF BUILDING

Dear SST San Antonio Families,

Today, we were notified that an individual from SST San Antonio tested positive for COVID-19.

We have been working closely with our local health department since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to do so for this case. All students and staff who came into close contact have been directly notified today on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 about their potential exposure and were advised to quarantine for 10-14 days from the date of contact and monitor symptoms. If you have not received a direct call from campus staff regarding this case, you can assume your student has not been impacted.

Out of abundance of caution, SST San Antonio campus will be immediately closed for deep cleaning and disinfectionThere will be no on-campus learning from Thursday, February 4th through Friday, February 5th, 2021. All on campus students will go to virtual learning and need to follow their daily school schedule and log in to complete daily assignments and attend synchronous sessions.

All on campus staff and students are expected to return for onsite learning on Monday, February 8, 2021.

We have taken all the necessary precautions and have enhanced our safety protocols to ensure the health of our students and staff; including deep cleaning areas identified through contact tracing and continuing to screen all staff, students, and visitors upon arrival.

While we do not have reason to believe that those who were not in close contact with the individual who tested positive are at an increased risk, we ask that you, as always, continue to watch for the following COVID-19 symptoms:

• Fever at/above 100° F or chills

• Cough

• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

• Fatigue

• Muscle or body aches

• Headache

• New loss of taste or smell

• Sore throat

• Congestion or runny nose

• Nausea or vomiting

• Diarrhea

If your student begins experiencing any of these symptoms, we encourage them to stay home and contact your physician. Anyone in the school community who tests positive for COVID-19 should reach out to us or our campus Health Aide, Ms. Maria Gonzalez at [email protected], immediately to ensure we can do our part to maintain the health and safety of our team & families.

Our thoughts are with the entire campus community, especially the individual(s) who have tested positive, as they manage this situation. We wish for a speedy recovery.

Thank you for your partnership in keeping our campus community safe.

Sincerely,

Mr. Mamedov
