SST Celebrates Partners in Education

SST hosted its first event to Celebrate our Partners in Education in late May.

The event brought together SST supporters, Parent Advocates, Campus Business Partners, and our top 10 SST high school students from SST San Antonio College Prep High School.  We also recognized our Regional Teacher of the Year Recipients as well as revealed our State Teacher of the Year recipients.

A big thank you to our generous donors whose contributions will benefit our Scholarship Fundraiser distributed by our SST Alumni Association to eligible graduating seniors and college-attending SST alumni.

"I am a teacher because I know I have so much love to give. I have a strong desire to help others. I remember when I was still a college student, I used to do a lot of volunteer work. It was a rewarding experience and made my journey in becoming an educator a lot more meaningful. I had the opportunity to teach children who had cancer and less-privileged kids who lived in remote areas of the Philippines. Those experiences really awakened my passion and convinced me that, indeed, my mission is to love and serve children."

Secondary- Erin Cofer: SST Corpus Christi College Prep

"My pedagogical approach is to teach with love. The aspect of teaching I value most is the process of forming relationships with my students and providing them with guidance and understanding, while still holding them to high academic and personal standards. I pride myself on greeting every student by name when they enter my class, and I always have the same parting words for my students when they leave my classroom--I love you and make good choices."

We are immensely proud of our teachers who lead with the kind of love and compassion that stays with students forever.
